Emma and Calvin are the cutest. Originally both from Oregon, these two met in ISRAEL while on a trip abroad with multiple members from the LDS church. At first, Calvin was waitlisted and last minute someone dropped out of the trip so he joined. That was meant to be. Thank you to whoever didn’t go on that trip to Israel. While dating, Calvin lived in San Francisco and Emma lived out in Palo Alto. Two of my favorite places.

I met Emma at church while we were both in Palo Alto. Wait a minute, we go back to maybe 2015. She was a missionary at Temple Square as was I and she happened to know my companion who was from India. I think they actually met in India. How cool is that! Emma and Calvin were meant to get married at a different date, but had to reschedule their ceremony multiple times because of COVID-19. They are troopers. Emma is even moving to Utah to secure a date to marry in the temple. Wish I could be there! I think only family can attend in small numbers.

The Golden Gate Bridge is the perfect emblem of San Francisco. If I were dating my fiance who lived in San Francisco, I’d want engagement photos there too. Oops, I actually did that once, but we broke it off. Seeing Calvin and Emma work together to take the most beautiful photos was so moving. Calvin is a sweetheart and I could see how much he loves Emma. Last I saw Emma she was still figuring out her job situation. She waited years before securing the right job. Now she works at Facebook. Well she did the same with Calvin. He is worth the wait. I can just tell these two are going to be one of those power couples.

I’m so happy I could take photos of them. My typical photo style is darker, warm, and some call it “moody”. I knew Emma would like the more classic light and airy look so I attempted to recreate that light and airy look and added in some of my filters at the end. What photo style and filter do you like?
